A smart city has many services that serve citizens and residents; this increases the quality of human life, resulting in a long life, good health, a healthy mentality, and a comfortable environment. Here is a quote from a study that shows the quality of human life in a smart city: "It finds that cities can use smart technologies to improve some key quality-of-life indicators by 10 to 30 percent" (McKinsey Global Institute, June 5, 2018). This will lead to a healthy generation, which will not harm their health and reduce the toxic air from old factories and the emissions of toxic gases such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. 

Furthermore, smart cities can deliver a liveable and cleaner environment. Intelligent cities reduce the number of toxic gases and their carbon footprint. A carbon footprint measures greenhouse gas emissions that produce carbon dioxide, and this can cause the respiratory system of the human body. Moreover, there will be no old factories that pollute air quality, leading to air pollution.

Technological development and its application can help cities fight crimes, making them less common and improving other aspects of public safety. Moreover, technological development is improving daily to generate smart cities, which is one of the main parts of smart cities. These technologies are used to understand urban settings better, determine what space is available and how it can be better utilized, and forecast how current roads and buildings will fare in disasters.  

Online services serve human beings in their need and make their life much more accessible; for instance, an online user can purchase and order anything globally without traveling or waiting for an extended period to receive what they want. People can book their appointment without going to the hospital.  

Developing a conventional city into a smart city can grow the city's economy. Also, smart transportation reduces emissions and pollution and can have better advantages in terms of money and time saved.
